Run POKYH yourself.

The code is open. If you want to build on POKYH or try it for another school, the web app runs on your machine in a few minutes.

In four steps

  1. Clone the repository

    Get the web app’s code from GitHub.

    $ git clone https://github.com/bedchem/pokyh-frontend.git$ cd pokyh-frontend
  2. Install packages

    Node.js 20.9 or newer is required.

    $ npm install
  3. Configure

    Create a .env.local and fill in the WebUntis address, school and your backend keys.

    $ cp .env.example .env.local# fill in the values in .env.local
  4. Start

    The development server runs on port 3011.

    $ npm run dev # for production:$ npm run build && npm start

What you need

  • Node.js 20.9 or newer
  • A running instance of the POKYH backend (Express, Prisma, MySQL)
  • Your school’s WebUntis address and short name

Rather just use it?

No installation, with your WebUntis account.
